Scope of work (ideas that we would like to elaborate):
- Own research about the state-of-the-art time series forecasting methods.
Automation of feature selection/hyperparameter tuning and other Data-Science tasks. - Research of rules and opportunities in the new energy markets, where PowereX is rolling out.
Analysis of consequent new electricity trading products/regulations, and design and deployment of appropriate trading/prediction algorithms.
What we expect of the candidate:
We’re looking for someone who has experience with:
- R / Python
- Strong knowledge of Machine Learning frameworks (Keras/TensorFlow/PyTorch/GBMs)
- Developing/Deploying of forecasting/regression/classification models
- Critical thinking, strong problem-solving skills and time
management, eager to learn new things, we actively support open
discussion about your own ideas.
Nice to have:
- Computer science/mathematical/statistical education of
2nd or 3rd grade - Software development experience, clean code, KISS, DRY and other
best-practice approaches
Current tech stack for development
Data-scientists tech stack:
- We develop our ML models in R language and frameworks Keras, TF,
xgboost, ligthGBM, and many others. - Create production ready APIs with plumber and as R packages.
- We do apps and dashboards with Shiny and bs4Dash.
General backend stack:
- Backend is based mostly on – Java 18, SpringBoot, Gradle, Python 3.12, Docker.
- Monitoring products/apps with Grafana, ELK stack, Prometheus,
cloud watch. - We host on AWS using these tech – EC2, S3, MSK, Glue, ECS, Lambda, ECR, …
- We automatize our infrastructure using – Ansible, Terraform, Github
actions. - We test and review our code.
